PRAYER FOR HEALING OF RELATIONSHIPS

"Saint Jude, we have problems in our relationship. Beg Almighty God to give us the light to see ourselves and each other as we really are. Help us to grow daily in self-knowledge and mutual love, while at the same time developing our potential to love and be loved. Help us, Saint Jude, to see and root out every manifestation of selfishness, vanity, and childish self-seeking -- those hidden enemies of love and maturity. Show us that by learning to love and being filled with love, we may complement and nurture each other as we share our lives together."

A MORNING OFFERING TO THE HOLY CHILD

O Dear sweet Infant Jesus,
I offer You my will, that You strengthen it,
my mind that You inspire it;
my memory that You fill it;
my wishes and desires, that You cleanse them,
I sacrifice to You; my intentions that You guide them,
all my inner and outer activities, that You make them sacred.
All I am and all I have is Yours.
Your love for me is my hope and trust.
Hear me and grant that I may never leave you.
Amen.
O Infant Jesus,
I form the belief that I shall be granted forgiveness of sins
and place it into the hands of Your most Holy Mother Mary;
I commend myself to all and every Holy Mass
that is celebrated this day and all over the globe,
and I offer all this on behalf of the poor souls of purgatory.

PRAYER TO MOTHER MARY, REFUGE OF SINNERS

Hail, most gracious Mother of mercy, hail, Mary, for whom we fondly yearn, through whom we obtain forgiveness! Who would not love thee? Thou art our light in uncertainty, our comfort in sorrow, our solace in the time of trial, our refuge from every peril and temptation. Thou art our sure hope of salvation, second only to thy only-begotten Son; blessed are they who love thee, our Lady! Incline, I beseech thee, thy ears of pity to the entreaties of this thy servant, a miserable sinner; dissipate the darkness of my sins by the bright beams of thy holiness, in order that I may be acceptable in thy sight.

DAY OF PENTECOST

When it was evening on that day, the first day of the week, and the doors of the house where the disciples had met were locked for fear of the Jews, Jesus came and stood among them and said, "Peace be with you." After he said this, he showed them his hands and his side. Then the disciples rejoiced when they saw the Lord. Jesus said to them again, "Peace be with you. As the Father has sent me, so I send you." When he had said this, he breathed on them and said to them, "Receive the Holy Spirit. If you forgive the sins of any, they are forgiven them; if you retain the sins of any, they are retained."
John 20:19-23

ACT OF FAITH BEFORE COMMUNION

Of a truth I firmly believe,
O Good Jesus,
and with lively faith confess,
that Thou Thyself,
equal to God the Father in glory and in power,
true God and Man,
art verily and indeed present in this Sacrament.
For Thou, the very high Truth itself,
hast said, This is My Body, This is My Blood.
I believe whatever the Son of God hath said.
Nothing can be truer than this word of Him who is the
Truth.
I do believe, Lord;
help my belief, increase my faith.
Amen.

Psalm 47

1 O clap your hands, all ye people; shout unto God with the voice of triumph.
2 For the LORD most high is terrible; he is a great King over all the earth.
3 He shall subdue the people under us, and the nations under our feet.
4 He shall choose our inheritance for us, the excellency of Jacob whom he loved. Selah.
5 God is gone up with a shout, the LORD with the sound of a trumpet.
6 Sing praises to God, sing praises: sing praises unto our King, sing praises.
7 For God is the King of all the earth: sing ye praises with understanding.
8 God reigneth over the heathen: God sitteth upon the throne of his holiness.
9 The princes of the people are gathered together, even the people of the God of Abraham: for the shields of the earth belong unto God: he is greatly exalted.

PRAYER FOR THE SEVEN GIFTS OF THE HOLY SPIRIT

WE BEG the all-merciful Father through thee, his only-begotten Son made man for our sake, crucified and glorified for us, to send upon us from his treasure-house the Spirit of sevenfold grace, who rested upon thee in all his fullness:

the gift of understanding: to enlighten our perceptions;
the gift of prudence, enabling us to follow in thy footsteps;
the gift of strength: to withstand our adversary’s onslaught;
the gift of knowledge: to distinguish good from evil by the light of thy holy teaching;
the gift of piety: to clothe ourselves with charity and mercy;
the gift of fear: to withdraw from all ill-doing and live quietly in awe of thy eternal majesty.
These are the things for which petition. Grant them for the honor of thy holy name, to which, with the Father and the Holy Ghost, be all honor and glory, thanksgiving, renown, and lordship for ever and ever. Amen.

PRAYER FOR FAITH

Lord, I believe:I wish to believe in Thee.
Lord, let my faith be full and unreserved,
and let it penetrate my thought,
my way of judging Divine things and human things.
Lord, let my faith be joyful
and give peace and gladness to my spirit,
and dispose it for prayer with God
and conversation with men,
so that the inner bliss of its fortunate possession
may shine forth in sacred and secular conversation.
Lord, let my faith be humble and not presume
to be based on the experience of my thought and of my feeling;
but let it surrender to the testimony of the Holy Spirit,
and not have any better guarantee than in docility to Tradition
and to the authority of the magisterium of the Holy Church.
Amen.

A PETITION PRAYER TO THE SACRED HEART OF JESUS

O Sacred Heart of Jesus, I fly, I come to Thee, throwing myself into the arms of Thy tender mercy. Thou art my sure refuge, my unfailing and only hope. Thou art for me, and for us all, the infallible, inexhaustible source of light, of strength, of perseverance, peace and consolation. I am certain that my importunity will never weary Thee; certain, too, that Thou wilt never cease to aid, to protect, to love me, because Thy love for me, O Divine Heart, is infinite.Have mercy on me then, O Heart of Jesus, and on all that I recommend to Thee, according to Thy own mercy, and do with us, for us, and in us, whatsoever Thou will, for we abandon ourselves to Thee with the full, entire confidence and conviction that Thou will never abandon us either in time or eternity. O Mary, my Mother, I offer you my soul, my mind, and my heart. Make of me God's instrument. Give me a penetrating mind to discover, firm to judge, open to understand, free to serve the truth; an honest mind in telling what it sees rather than what it wants to see; a tolerant mind which does not dictate to other people, but which explain what it sees clearly; a mind infused by the light and the truth of your Son Jesus, patient in faith, while waiting for the vision of eternal life. Let my weakness be penetrated with Your strength this very day that I may fulfill all the duties of my state conscientiously, that I may do what is right and just. Let my charity be such as to offend no one, and hurt no one's feelings; so generous as to pardon sincerely any wrong done to me. Assist me, O Holy Spirit, in all my trials of life, enlighten me in my ignorance, advise me in my doubts, strengthen me in my weakness, help me in all my needs, protect me in temptations and console me in afflictions. Graciously hear me, O Holy Spirit, and pour Your light into my heart, my soul, and my mind. Assist me to live a holy life and to grow in goodness and grace.

PRAYER TO SAINT MICHAEL THE ARCHANGEL

Most glorious Prince of the Heavenly Armies, Saint Michael the Archangel, defend us in our battle against principalities and powers, against the rulers of this world of darkness, against the spirits of wickedness in the high places. (Ephes. VI, 12). Come to the assistance of men whom God has created to His likeness and whom he has redeemed at a great price from the tyranny of the devil. Holy Church venerates thee as her guardian and protector; to thee the Lord has entrusted the souls of the redeemed to be led into heaven. Pray, therefore, the God of Peace to crush Satan beneath our feet, that he may no longer retain men captive and do injury to the Church. Offer our prayers to the Most high, that without delay they may draw His mercy down upon us; "take hold of the dragon, the old serpent, which is the devil and Satan", bind him and cast him into the bottomless pit "so that he may no longer seduce the nations".

CONSECRATION OF A FAMILY

Oh Mother Most Pure,
we come to You as a family
and consecrate ourselves to your most Immaculate Heart.
We come to You as a family
and place our trust in Your powerful intercession.

Oh Dearest Mother Mary,
teach us as a mother teaches her children,
for our souls are soiled
and our prayers are weak
because of our sinful hearts.
Here we are Dearest Mother,
ready to respond to You
and follow Your way,
for Your way leads us
to the heart of Your Son, Jesus.
We are ready to be cleansed and purified.

Come then Virgin Most Pure,
and embrace us with Your motherly mantle.
Make our hearts whiter than snow
and as pure as a spring of fresh water.
Teach us to pray,
so that our prayers may become more beautiful
than the singing of the birds at the break of dawn.

Dear Mother Mary,
we entrust to Your Immaculate Heart of hearts,
our family and our entire future.
Lead us all to our homeland which is Heaven.

Amen.

Immaculate Heart of Mary,
pray for us.

CONSECRATION TO OUR LADY OF SORROWS

Most holy Virgin and Queen of Martyrs,
Mary, would that I could be in Heaven,
there to contemplate the honours rendered to thee
by the Most Holy Trinity
and by the whole Heavenly Court!
But since I am still a pilgrim in this vale of tears,
receive from me, thy unworthy servant and a poor sinner,
the most sincere homage
and the most perfect act of vassalage
a human creature can offer thee.
In thy Immaculate Heart,
pierced with so many swords of sorrow,
I place today my poor soul forever;
receive me as a partaker in thy dolors,
and never suffer that I should depart from that Cross
on which thy only begotten Son expired for me.
With thee, O Mary,
I will endure all the sufferings,
contradictions, infirmities,
with which it will please thy Divine Son
to visit me in this life.
All of them I offer to thee,
in memory of the Dolors
which thou didst suffer during thy life,
that every thought of my mind,
every beating of my heart
may henceforward be an act of compassion to thy Sorrows,
and of complacency for the glory
thou now enjoyest in Heaven.
Since then, O Dear Mother,
I now compassionate thy Dolors,
and rejoice in seeing thee glorified,
do thou also have compassion on me,
and reconcile me to thy Son Jesus,
that I may become thy true and loyal son (daughter);
come on my last day and assist me in my last agony,
even as thou wert present at the Agony of thy Divine Son Jesus,
that from this painful exile I may go to Heaven,
there to be made partaker of thy glory.
Amen.

ASSUMPTION OF MARY

Father in heaven,
all creation rightly gives you praise,
for all life and all holiness come from you.
In the plan of your wisdom

was raised body and soul in glory to be with him in heaven.
May we follow her example in reflecting your holiness
and join in her hymn of endless love and praise.
We ask this through Christ our Lord.
Amen.

be Your people's joy through all ages.
May her response,
born of a humble heart,
draw Your Spirit to rest on Your people.
Grant this through Christ our Lord.
Amen.

PRAYER TO OUR LADY, ASSUMED IN HEAVEN

Immaculate Virgin,
Mother of Jesus and our Mother,
we believe in your triumphant assumption into heaven
where the angels and saints acclaim you as Queen.

We join them in praising you
and bless the Lord who raised you above all creatures.
With them we offer you our devotion and love.

We are confident that you watch over our daily efforts and needs,
and we take comfort from the faith in the coming resurrection.

We look to you, our life,
our sweetness, and our hope.

After this earthly life,
show us Jesus,
the blest fruit of your womb,
O kind, O loving,
O sweet virgin Mary.

CANTICLE OF MARY

My soul proclaims the greatness of the Lord,
my spirit rejoices in God my Savior
for he has looked with favor on his lowly servant.

From this day all generations will call me blessed:
the Almighty has done great things for me,
and holy is his Name.

He has mercy on those who fear him
in every generation.

He has shown the strength of his arm,
he has scattered the proud in their conceit.

He has cast down the mighty from their thrones,
and has lifted up the lowly.

He has filled the hungry with good things,
and the rich he has sent away empty.

He has come to the help of his servant Israel
for he remembered his promise of mercy,
the promise he made to our fathers,
to Abraham and his children for ever.

EASTER MONDAY

Almighty God, my Eternal Father, from the fullness of my soul I adore You. I am deeply grateful that You have made me in Your image and likeness, and that You ever hold me in Your loving embrace. Direct me to love You with all my heart, with all my soul, and with my whole mind. Direct me to love all Your children as I love myself. O, my Father, my soul longs to be united to You, and to rest in You forever. Have the Holy Spirit touch my soul so that I may love You as He does, and as Your Beloved Son Jesus does. Amen.

EASTER SUNDAY

Heavenly Father and God of mercy,
I believe that Jesus is alive and has become the Lord of life.
From the waters of Baptism you have raised me with him and renewed your gift of life within me.
Increase in my mind and heart the risen life I share with Christ and help me to grow in your wisdom and grace.
Lord Jesus, you appeared to your apostles after the resurrection and filled their hearts with joy when you said to them "Peace be with you".
May the peace of your presence abide with me and make each day you give me the most beautiful day of my life.
Lord Jesus, you triumphed over death and destroyed the power of death in me, may I live only for you.
Risen Lord, you brought confusion on the guards at your tomb but joy to your disciples, grant me the fullness of joy as I serve you in spirit and truth.
You promised to be with your disciples, Lord, to the end of the world, stay with me today and remain with me always.
King of glory, center of my life, grant that when you come again, I may be one with you in glory.
Lord, remember me as in my own way I minister to your people, may my life be holy and an example to your people.
Lord Jesus, purify my heart with your truth and guide me in the way of holiness, so that I may always do what is pleasing in your sight.
Amen.

PARENT'S PRAYER FOR THEIR CHILDREN

O Father of mankind, who hast given unto me these my children, and committed them to my charge to bring them up for Thee, and to prepare them for everlasting life: assist me with Thy heavenly grace, that I may be able to fulfil this most sacred duty and stewardship. Teach me both what to give and what to withhold; when to reprove and when to forbear; make me gentle, yet firm; considerate and watchful; and deliver me equally from the weakness of indulgence, and the excess of severity; and grant that, both by word and example, I may be careful to lead them in the ways of wisdom and true pity, so that at last I may, with them, be admitted to the unspeakable joys of our true home in heaven, in the company of the blessed angels and Saints.Amen.

GOOD FRIDAY PRAYER

O Jesus,
it is not the heavenly reward You have promised
which impels me to love You;
neither is it the threat of hell
that keeps me from offending You.
It is You O Lord,
it is the sight of You
affixed to the Cross and suffering insults;
it is the sight of Your broken body,
as well as Your pains and Your death.
There is nothing You can give me
to make me love You.
For even if there were no heaven and no hell
I would still love you as I do!

HOLY THURSDAY

O Lord Jesus, in order that the merits of your sacrifice on the Cross might be applied to every soul of all time, you willed that it should be renewed upon the altar. At the Last Supper, you said: "Do this in remembrance of me." By these words you gave your apostles and their successors the power to consecrate and to the command to do what you yourself did. I believe that the Mass is both a sacrifice and a memorial- reenacting your passion, death and resurrection. Help me to realize that the Mass is the greatest gift of God to us and our greatest gift to God.

Forgive us, Lord.
Forgive us for only celebrating our own actions and our own pride.
Forgive us for only praying for our own needs and our own wants.
Forgive us for only feeling our own pain and our own suffering.
Forgive us for only seeing our own loss and our own mourning.
Forgive us Lord.
Redeem us Lord.
Save us Lord.
Amen.

PRAYER TO OUR LADY OF MERCY

Blessed Virgin Mary,
who can worthily repay you with praise
and thanks for having rescued a fallen world
by your generous consent!
Receive our gratitude,
and by your prayers obtain the pardon of our sins.
Take our prayers into the sanctuary of heaven
and enable them to make our peace with God.
Holy Mary, help the miserable,
strengthen the discouraged,
comfort the sorrowful,
pray for your people,
plead for the clergy,
intercede for all women consecrated to God.
May all who venerate you
feel now your help and protection.
Be ready to help us when we pray,
and bring back to us the answers to our prayers.
Make it your continual concern
to pray for the people of God,
for you were blessed by God
and were made worthy to bear the Redeemer of the world,
who lives and reigns forever.
Amen.

CHILDREN'S PRAYER TO MOTHER MARY

All little children
To Jesus our King.

ST.PATRICK'S PRAYER

I bind to myself this day the power of God to guide me, the might of God to uphold me, the wisdom of God to teach me, the eye of God to watch over me, the ear of God to hear me, the word of God to give me speech, the hand of God to protect me, the shield of God to shelter me, the host of God to defend me against evil, against the lust of nature, against every person who meditates injury to me, whether far or near, whether alone or with many.

I have invoked all these virtues against every hostile, savage power warring upon my body and soul, against the evil laws of paganism, against the false laws of heresy, against the false promises of idolatry and against all knowledge which blinds the soul of humanity.

Amen.

PALM SUNDAY Psalms 118 - 19:29

19 Open to me the gates of righteousness:
I will go into them,
and I will praise the LORD:

20 this gate of the LORD,
into which the righteous shall enter.

21 I will praise thee: for thou hast heard me,
and art become my salvation.

22 The stone which the builders refused
is become the head stone of the corner.

23 This is the LORD's doing;
it is marvelous in our eyes.

24 This is the day which the LORD hath made;
we will rejoice and be glad in it.

25 Save now, I beseech thee, O LORD:
O LORD, I beseech thee, send now prosperity.

26 Blessed be he that cometh in the name of the LORD:
we have blessed you out of the house of the LORD.

27 God is the LORD, which hath showed us light:
bind the sacrifice with cords,
even unto the horns of the altar.

28 Thou art my God, and I will praise thee:
thou art my God, I will exalt thee.

29 O give thanks unto the LORD; for he is good:
for his mercy endureth for ever.

PRAYER TO CHRIST

Grant, we beseech Thee, O Lord Jesus Christ,
that the Most Blessed Virgin Mary, Thy Mother,
whose most holy soul was transfixed with the sword of sorrow
in the hour of Thy Own Passion,
may intercede for us before the throne of Mercy,
now and at the hour of our death.
Amen.

Imprint, O Lady, thy wounds upon my heart,
that I may read therein sorrow and love;
sorrow, to endure every sorrow for thee;
love, to despise every love for thee.
Amen.

St. GABRIEL OF THE SORROWFUL MOTHER

"Love Mary!... She is loveable, faithful, constant.
She will never let herself be outdone in love, but will ever remain supreme.

If you are in danger, she will hasten to free you.
If you are troubled, she will console you.
If you are sick, she will bring you relief.
If you are in need, she will help you.

She does not look to see what kind of person you have been. She simply comes to a heart that wants to love her. She comes quickly and opens her merciful heart to you, embraces you and consoles and serves you.

She will even be at hand to accompany you on the trip to eternity."

do not ask for them again.
And as you wish that others would do to you,
do so to them.

2nd SUNDAY OF LENT

THE TRANSFIGURATION OF JESUS:

Transfigured Jesus, son of the Living God, Your Father sent You to show us the way to new life. On His holy mountain You were transfigured and Your glory was revealed to Your disciples. You prepared them for Your approaching passion and taught them that the promised Christ had to suffer and die to come into the glory of His resurrection. Through Your transfiguration You strengthened them and gave them hope to cling on to through the dark hours. The same hope is given to us too. It is the unconditional love of the Father who sent You, His only son to suffer, die and bring salvation by rising again and strengthened the disciples by His revelation of Your glory. Transfigured Lord help us to cling onto this hope as we prepare during this Lent to celebrate Your rising from the dead to give us new life. Amen.

MATTHEW 18:10-14

Not one of these little ones should be lost
"Take care that you do not despise one of these little ones; for, I tell you, in heaven their angels continually see the face of my Father in heaven. What do you think? If a shepherd has a hundred sheep, and one of them has gone astray, does he not leave the ninety-nine on the mountains and go in search of the one that went astray? And if he finds it, truly I tell you, he rejoices over it more than over the ninety-nine that never went astray. So it is not the will of your Father in heaven that one of these little ones should be lost.

THE SINNER'S PRAYER

Dear Father,
I now believe that Jesus Christ is Your only begotten Son, that He came to the earth in the flesh and died on the cross to take away all of my sins and the sins of this world. I believe that Jesus Christ then rose from the dead on the third day to give all of us eternal life.
Lord Jesus, I now confess to You all of the wrong and sinful things that I have ever done in my life. I ask that You please forgive me and wash away all of my sins by the blood that You have personally shed for me on the cross. I am now ready to accept You as my personal Lord and Savior. I now ask that You come into my life and live with me for all of eternity.
Father, Jesus - I now believe that I am truly saved and born again.
Thank You Father.
Thank You Jesus.

PRAYER OF THE JUBILEE YEAR OF 2008

God our Father
among all creatures You have formed Mary,
the perfect creature, the “Immaculate Conception”.
Here in Lourdes she proclaimed this name and Bernadette repeated it.
The Immaculate Conception;
this is a cry of hope:evil, sin, and death are no longer victors.
Mary, precursory sign, dawn of salvation!
Mary,
You, the innocence and refuge of sinners
We pray to you.
Hail Mary……….. !

Lord Jesus,
You gave us Mary as our Mother.
She shared Your Passion and Resurrection.
Here in Lourdes she showed herself to Bernadette,
saddened by our sins but radiant with Your light.
Through her, we entrust to You our joys and our sorrows,
our own, those of the sick, and those of all people.
Mary, Our sister and our mother,
our confidant, and our help
We pray to you
Hail Mary……….. !

Holy Spirit,
you are the Spirit of love and unity.
Here in Lourdes, through Bernadette,
Mary asked for a Chapel, and for people to come in procession.
Inspire the Church which Christ is building on Peter’s faith:
that it may be one.
Guide the pilgrimage of the Church:
that it may be faithful and daring!
Mary, you are filled with the Holy Spirit,
you are the spouse and the servant.
You are the model for Christians,
and the maternal face of the Church.
We pray to you.
Hail Mary……….. !

HAVE MERCY ON US, O LORD, FOR WE HAVE SINNED

Have mercy on me, God in your kindness
In your compassion blot out my offence.
O wash me more and more from my guilt
And cleanse me from my sin.

My offences truly I know them;
My sin is always before me.
Against you, you alone, have I sinned;
What is evil in your sight I have done.

A pure heart create for me O God,
Put a steadfast spirit within me.
Do not cast me away from your presence,
Nor deprive me of your Holy Spirit.

Give me again the joy of your help;
With a spirit of fervour sustain me.
O Lord open my lips
And my mouth shall declare your praise.

1st SATURDAY OF LENT

"And today the Lord is making this agreement with you: you are to be a people peculiarly His own, as He promised you; and provided you keep all His commandments, He will then raise you high in praise and renown and glory above all other nations He has made, and you will be a people sacred to the Lord your God as He promised". (Deuteronomy 26:18-19)

ACT OF HOPE

O my God, knowing Your almighty power,
and Your infinite goodness and mercy,
I hope in You that, by the merits of the
Passion and Death of our Saviour Jesus Christ,
You will grant me eternal life,
which You have promised to all
such as shall do the works of a good Christian;
and these I resolve to do,
with the help of Your Grace.
Amen.

ISAIAH CHAPTER 58

1 Shout the message! Don't hold back. Say to my people Israel:
You've sinned! You've turned against the LORD.
2 Day after day, you worship him
and seem eager to learn his teachings.
You act like a nation that wants to do right
by obeying his laws.
You ask him about justice,
and say you enjoy worshiping the LORD.
3 You wonder why the LORD pays no attention
when you go without eating and act humble.
But on those same days that you give up eating,
you think only of yourselves and abuse your workers.
4 You even get angry and ready to fight.
No wonder God won't listen to your prayers!
5 Do you think the LORD wants you to give up eating
and to act as humble as a bent-over bush?
Or to dress in sackcloth and sit in ashes?
Is this really what he wants on a day of worship?
6 I'll tell you what it really means to worship the LORD.
Remove the chains of prisoners who are chained unjustly.
Free those who are abused!
7 Share your food with everyone who is hungry;
share your home with the poor and homeless.
Give clothes to those in need; don't turn away your relatives.
8 Then your light will shine like the dawning sun,
and you will quickly be healed.
Your honesty will protect you as you advance,
and the glory of the LORD
will defend you from behind.
9 When you beg the LORD for help,
he will answer, "Here I am!"
Don't mistreat others or falsely accuse them
or say something cruel.
10 Give your food to the hungry and care for the homeless.
Then your light will shine in the dark;
your darkest hour will be like the noonday sun.
11 The LORD will always guide you
and provide good things to eat when you are in the desert.
He will make you healthy.
You will be like a garden that has plenty of water
or like a stream that never runs dry.
12 You will rebuild those houses left in ruins for years;
you will be known as a builder and repairer
of city walls and streets.
13 But first, you must start respecting the Sabbath
as a joyful day of worship.
You must stop doing and saying whatever you please
on this special day.
14 Then you will truly enjoy knowing the LORD.
He will let you rule from the highest mountains
and bless you with the land of your ancestor Jacob.
The LORD has spoken!

ASH WEDNESDAY

When Jesus spoke again to the people, he said,
"I am the light of the world. Whoever follows me will never walk in darkness,
but will have the light of life."John 8:12

Savior and Friend, today is Ash Wednesday.
We start Lent today,
reflecting on the love you have for us that made you die for us to save us.
It's easy to forget about that love -
you know the activity and the pressures that surround us every day.
You know how these things weigh on our minds and
how they sometimes leave us almost breathless.
In the midst of our fast-moving lives and world,
give us those quiet times we need for reflection and rest,
and keep our minds at peace.
Amen.

POWER OF PRAYER

"Don’t worry about anything,
but in all your prayers ask God for what you need,
always asking him with a thankful heart.
And God’s peace,
which is far beyond human understanding
will keep your hearts and minds
safe in union with Christ Jesus.” (Philippians 4:6-7)

PRESENTATION OF THE LORD

Lord, now lettest thou thy servant depart in peace,
according to thy word;
for mine eyes have seen thy salvation
which thou hast prepared in the presence of all peoples,
a light for revelation to the Gentiles,
and for glory to thy people Israel."

Mother Mary's song

And Mary said:
"My soul glorifies the Lord and my spirit rejoices in God my Savior,
for he has been mindful of the humble state of his servant.
From now on all generations will call me blessed,
for the Mighty One has done great things for me—
holy is his name.
His mercy extends to those who fear him,
from generation to generation.
He has performed mighty deeds with his arm;
he has scattered those who are proud in their inmost thoughts.
He has brought down rulers from their thrones
but has lifted up the humble.
He has filled the hungry with good things
but has sent the rich away empty.
He has helped his servant Israel,
remembering to be merciful to Abraham
and his descendants forever,
even as he said to our fathers." luke-1:46-55

Prayer for souls in purgatory

St. Gertrude the Great is invoked for souls in purgatory and for living sinners.
Our Lord told St. Gertrude that the following prayer would release 1000 souls from purgatory each time it is said.
The prayer was extended to include living sinners as well.

"Eternal Father, I offer Thee the Most Precious Blood of Thy Divine Son, Jesus, in union with the Masses said throughout the world today, for all the Holy Souls in Purgatory, for sinners everywhere, for sinners in the universal church, those in my own home and within my family. Amen."

PRAYER TO THE VIRGIN MARY AS UNTIER OF KNOTS

"Holy Mary, full of the presence of God
during your life you accepted with great humility
the Holy Will of the Father and
the legacy of your Son Our Lord Jesus Christ.
Evil never dared to entangle you with its confusion.
Since then you have interceded for all of our difficulties.
With all simplicity and patience you have given us example,
on how to untangle the knots in our complicated lives.
By being our Mother forever,
you arrange and make clear the path,
that unites us to Our Lord.
Holy Mary, Mother of God and ours,
with your maternal heart,
untie the knots that upset our lives.
We ask you to receive in your hands ( mention who or prayer request)
and deliver us from the chains and confusions,
that have us restrained.
Blessed Virgin Mary, through your grace,
your intercession and by your example,
deliver us from evil
and untie the knots that keep us away from God,
so that once free of every confusion and error,
we may find Him in all things,
have Him in our hearts and
serve him always with our brothers and sisters.
Mother of Good Counsel pray for us.
Amen.

THE SEVEN SORROWS OF THE VIRGIN MARY

1. The Prophecy of Simeon:
"If I had allowed the knowledge of Simeon's prophecy to pierce My Heart over and over, I would have re-lived Jesus' passion over and over.
I prayed for the grace to be at peace in the present moment."

2. The Flight into Egypt:
"Though this was a hardship, our flight from Herod portrays God's provision amidst adversity.

3. Losing the Child Jesus in the Temple:
"When you seek My Son, you too will find Him in the temple of your heart."

4. The Meeting of Jesus and Mary on the Way of the Cross:
"I embraced Him in My Heart as I saw Him suffering under the weight of the cross.
You too must embrace Him in your hearts in the Blessed Sacrament.
Do not leave His Love unattended."

5. The Crucifixion:
"As I watched My Beloved Son draw His last breaths, I prayed He would persevere to the end. You must pray for the grace of final perseverance."

6. The Taking Down of the Body of Jesus from the Cross:
"I sorrowed that more would not benefit from His death.
I sorrowed for those who would not turn away from sin. I continue to sorrow for this."

7. The Burial of Jesus:
"I dressed His wounds. I arranged His Hands. I grieved. I gave Him to the world and the world rejected Him.
Pray for those who still reject Him."

TRIDIUM TO OUR LADY OF GUADALUPE

Prayer:

O God, You have been pleased to bestow upon us unceasing favors
by having placed us under the special protection
of the Most Blessed Virgin Mary.
Grant us, your humble servants,
who rejoice in honoring her today upon earth,
the happiness of seeing her face to face in heaven.
Through Christ our Lord.
Amen.

Prayer:

Remember, O most gracious Virgin of Guadalupe,
that in your apparitions on Mount Tepeyac
you promised to show pity and compassion to all who,
loving and trusting you,
seek your help and protection.

Accordingly, listen now to our supplications
and grant us consolation and relief.
We are full of hope that,
relying on your help,
nothing can trouble or affect us.
As you have remained with us through your admirable image,
so now obtain for us the graces we need.
Amen.

Jesus came from Galilee to the Jordan to John, to be baptized by him. John would have prevented Him, saying, "I need to be baptized by You, and do You come to me?" But Jesus answered him, "Let it be so now; for thus it is fitting for us to fulfil all righteousness." Then he consented. And when Jesus was baptized, He went up immediately from the water, and behold, the heavens were opened and He saw the Spirit of God descending like a dove, and alighting on Him; and lo, a voice from heaven, saying, "This is My beloved Son, with whom I am well pleased." FIVE LUMINOUS MYSTERIES

BAPTISM OF JESUS :
Jesus came to the Jordan to be baptized. When he came up out of the water, the Heavens opened and the Spirit of God descended upon Him as a dove, and a voice from Heaven said, "This is my beloved son"
Let us ask for the guidance of the Holy Spirit so that we may always fulfill our baptismal promises.

MIRACLE AT CANA :
At the marriage at Cana, the Mother of Jesus was there. When the wine failed, she said to her Son, "They have no wine" and to the servants, "Do whatever he tells you". Jesus ordered the stone jars to be filled with water, which became wine. And thus revealed His glory.
Let us ask for the grace always to do what Jesus asks of us and thus be transformed.

PROCLAMATION OF THE KINGDOM OF GOD :
When the time was fulfilled Jesus came to Galilee, preaching on the coming of God's Kingdom and invites us to repent and believe in the Gospel.
Let us ask for the grace to be truly sorry for our sins and to grow in faith.

TRANSFIGURATION OF JESUS :
Jesus took with Him Peter, John and James and went up to the mountain to pray, where His appearance became dazzling bright, and there appeared Moses and Elijah, talking to Him. A cloud overshadowed them, and a voice said, "This is my beloved Son, listen to Him".
Let us ask for the grace to be ever attentive to the words of the Lord in our daily lives.

INSTITUTION OF THE EUCHARIST :
Jesus sat at the table with the apostles and He took bread, gave thanks, broke it and gave it to them saying, "Take, eat, this is my body". Taking the cup, he gave thanks and said, "Drink this, all of you. This is my blood of the covenant, which is poured out for many, for the forgiveness of sins, do this in memory of me".
Let us ask for the grace to receive this holy gift worthily so that we may reach the eternal life it promises.
