Father of compassion and goodness, give us living water that will quench the thirst of our souls. We acknowledge we are sinners, easily discouraged because of our brokenness. Wash us clean from our sins and heal us body, mind and soul as we do your bidding by fasting, praying, giving alms and sharing with those in need. May your love and compassion fill us with hope and a truly contrite heart and lead us through a Lent of Repentance that will make our Easter joy deeper and more meaningful.
