PRAYER TO SAINT MICHAEL THE ARCHANGEL

Most glorious Prince of the Heavenly Armies, Saint Michael the Archangel, defend us in our battle against principalities and powers, against the rulers of this world of darkness, against the spirits of wickedness in the high places. (Ephes. VI, 12). Come to the assistance of men whom God has created to His likeness and whom he has redeemed at a great price from the tyranny of the devil. Holy Church venerates thee as her guardian and protector; to thee the Lord has entrusted the souls of the redeemed to be led into heaven. Pray, therefore, the God of Peace to crush Satan beneath our feet, that he may no longer retain men captive and do injury to the Church. Offer our prayers to the Most high, that without delay they may draw His mercy down upon us; "take hold of the dragon, the old serpent, which is the devil and Satan", bind him and cast him into the bottomless pit "so that he may no longer seduce the nations".

CONSECRATION OF A FAMILY

Oh Mother Most Pure,
we come to You as a family
and consecrate ourselves to your most Immaculate Heart.
We come to You as a family
and place our trust in Your powerful intercession.

Oh Dearest Mother Mary,
teach us as a mother teaches her children,
for our souls are soiled
and our prayers are weak
because of our sinful hearts.
Here we are Dearest Mother,
ready to respond to You
and follow Your way,
for Your way leads us
to the heart of Your Son, Jesus.
We are ready to be cleansed and purified.

Come then Virgin Most Pure,
and embrace us with Your motherly mantle.
Make our hearts whiter than snow
and as pure as a spring of fresh water.
Teach us to pray,
so that our prayers may become more beautiful
than the singing of the birds at the break of dawn.

Dear Mother Mary,
we entrust to Your Immaculate Heart of hearts,
our family and our entire future.
Lead us all to our homeland which is Heaven.

PRAYER TO OUR LADY OF LOURDES

Blessed Virgin Mary of Lourdes,
I call upon you this day
to be my special friend here on earth,
today and all the days of my life.
I ask you to be my special protectress
and I place all my thoughts,
words and deeds in your hands.
I ask you to be my guide and guardian
so I may please Jesus in all things.

CONSECRATION TO OUR LADY OF SORROWS

Most holy Virgin and Queen of Martyrs,
Mary, would that I could be in Heaven,
there to contemplate the honours rendered to thee
by the Most Holy Trinity
and by the whole Heavenly Court!
But since I am still a pilgrim in this vale of tears,
receive from me, thy unworthy servant and a poor sinner,
the most sincere homage
and the most perfect act of vassalage
a human creature can offer thee.
In thy Immaculate Heart,
pierced with so many swords of sorrow,
I place today my poor soul forever;
receive me as a partaker in thy dolors,
and never suffer that I should depart from that Cross
on which thy only begotten Son expired for me.
With thee, O Mary,
I will endure all the sufferings,
contradictions, infirmities,
with which it will please thy Divine Son
to visit me in this life.
All of them I offer to thee,
in memory of the Dolors
which thou didst suffer during thy life,
that every thought of my mind,
every beating of my heart
may henceforward be an act of compassion to thy Sorrows,
and of complacency for the glory
thou now enjoyest in Heaven.
Since then, O Dear Mother,
I now compassionate thy Dolors,
and rejoice in seeing thee glorified,
do thou also have compassion on me,
and reconcile me to thy Son Jesus,
that I may become thy true and loyal son (daughter);
come on my last day and assist me in my last agony,
even as thou wert present at the Agony of thy Divine Son Jesus,
that from this painful exile I may go to Heaven,
there to be made partaker of thy glory.

PRAYER TO THE SACRED HEART

O Sacred Heart of Jesus, pour out Your benedictions upon the Holy Church, upon its priests, and upon all its children. Sustain the just, convert the sinners, assist the dying, deliver the souls in purgatory, and extend over all hearts the sweet empire of Your love. Amen.

PRAYER TO THE BLESSED VIRGIN MARY OF FATIMA

O God, Who established the Mother of Thy Son also to be Our Mother,
grant unto us, that persevering in penance and prayer
for the salvation of the world,
we may be more efficacious in extending the reign of Christ in our days.
We ask this through Our Lord Jesus Christ, Thy Son,
Who liveth and reigneth with Thee,
in the unity fo the Holy Ghost,
God forever and ever.

Prayer for souls in purgatory

St. Gertrude the Great is invoked for souls in purgatory and for living sinners.Our Lord told St. Gertrude that the following prayer would release 1000 souls from purgatory each time it is said.The prayer was extended to include living sinners as well.

"Eternal Father, I offer Thee the Most Precious Blood of Thy Divine Son, Jesus, in union with the Masses said throughout the world today, for all the Holy Souls in Purgatory, for sinners everywhere, for sinners in the universal church, those in my own home and within my family. Amen."
